How do I add my own referral link to this web site ?

GPTS Honest Info is the only web site which allows you to add a link to a GPTS program using you as an indirect reference.  You can add your referral by submitting  a review of your favorite GPT... (surf, read email, give opinions, search, play games, or other) which is not already included on this web site.  In other words, if the program you want to include a link to is already reviewed on these pages, you're too late!  You're referral link will not be used.

I submitted a referral link, but don't see it on your site. How come ?

First, GPTS Honest Info only adds referral links for new programs.  If you submitted a referral link for a program that is already listed on these pages, then your referral will not appear.  Second, GPTS Honest Info requires that all programs be reviewed by our review staff, and that in order to give an accurate review they must actually use the program themselves for a reasonable time period (at least a week or more).

I submitted a referral link, but its being referred to someone else. How come ?

There could be several reasons for this. First, GPTS Honest Info only adds referral links for new programs.  If you submitted a referral link for a program that was already listed on these pages, then your referral was disregarded.

If more than one person submitted a referral for the same program, GPTS Honest Info must select one and only one individual to receive the referral.  In some cases this may be the first individual to submit the program, or it may be the person who submitted the most honest, accurate, or well written rating/review. Such decisions are at the sole discretion of GPTS Honest Info.

Finally, all submissions are sent to our review staff for their evaluation.  This process could take several weeks.  Upon acceptance, the link is added to this website with one of the review staff receiving direct referral credit, while you will receive indirect credit referral (see "How do I become a review staff member" to receive direct credit).  Therefore, when you view the hyperlink you will not see your member referral ID listed, but when you check the actual program you'll see that your indirect referrals are increasing.  Back to Top

How do I become a review staff member ?

First, you must submit a rating/review of a new program not already listed on these pages.  Your rating/review must be accurate, non-biased and without 'hype,'  well written, and honest.   Indicate on this review that you wish to be considered as a review staff member.  Second, there must be an opening for a review staff member.  Back to Top

Ratings: How does GPTS: Honest Info rate the programs ?

GPTS Honest Info continually strives to provide the most honest, non-biased, accurate, and most helpful ratings system.    We believe we have succeeded in this goal.  However, your commentsorsuggestions on improving our rating method are appreciated.   In order to accomplish this goal, we follow these guidelines:

1)  Our reviewers are required to actually use the program
2)  We give everyone an opportunity to submit their own ratings and reviews on this website.  Each of these is examined for obvious bias, and if found, the entire review is discarded.  All reviewers ratings are added together to obtain an average rating for each category.
3)  Ratings are broken down into 9 categories, each of which is rated on a scale of 1 to 10.  Examples of these categories include:  Banner issues, bugs, download, privacy issues, customer service, etc.  These categories are then weighted (since some are more important than others) to obtain an overall score for the individual program.
4)  The overall score is then divided by the total available points to obtain a percentage.  It is this percentage that you see on the rating pages.  Dollar signs are added as a quick visual to represent this percentage - rounded off using standard rounding methods.
